In times of loss, finding the right person to lead a funeral service or celebration of life is a crucial decision. As an Independent celebrant, I offer a unique and personalised approach, ensuring that the farewell ceremony is a genuine reflection of your loved one's life and legacy.
I will take the time to understand the individuality of your loved one. Through in-depth consultations with you and your family, I will craft a ceremony that honours their unique personality, values and experiences. The result is a highly personalised and meaningful tribute.
Choosing an Independent celebrant gives you choice and time to decide when and where you say goodbye. You may choose to have a crematorium service at the time of the committal of the body, or to hold a celebration of life or memorial at a later time in a location that is meaningful to you.

Memorial Service, Celebration of Life:
I will work with you to create a bespoke and handcrafted ceremony which reflects the life and values of your loved one. I will liaise with your Funeral Director and venue staff and officiate the ceremony on the day.

This is a shorter ceremony, crafted in line with your wishes.

I come from a large family and have always been intrigued by people and their story. I would love to work with you and your family to create a final farewell that truly reflects your loved one and to tell their story. Be that through music, readings, poetry, dancing, I will support you to celebrate your loved ones life.

My Offer
I will help you to plan your ceremony, whether that takes place in a crematorium or location which is meaningful to you, be that a lakeside, family garden, pub or hotel.
If you are working with a Funeral Director, I will liaise with them to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly.
I will arrange to meet you to gather information about your loved one and how you would like the ceremony to be. We will create the Order of Service.
I can write the whole ceremony, including eulogies. If you would like to write the eulogies yourself, I will happily support you with this. I can offer guidance with music and poems if you wish.
I will share the draft ceremony with you for your approval. I am more than happy to make any changes or amendments to ensure this reflects the service you wish to have.
On the day of the ceremony, I will arrive at the venue early to ensure everything will run smoothly. I will co- ordinate with the Funeral Director and venue staff. I will officiate the ceremony on the day.
Following the ceremony, I will provide you with a printed copy of the ceremony. Many families find it comforting to have this in the days, weeks and months following the ceremony.
